Using the LEGO Simple & Powered Machines kit (9686) (this kit includes Lego Technics pieces), students in grades 3 – 8 will apply an investigative and exploratory approach to help understand the operation of simple and compound machines in everyday life, through the use of gears, wheels and axles, levers, and pulleys.

what you'll learn & create

Using the LEGO Simple & Powered Machines kit and other materials, students will connect science/engineering concepts to their everyday lives through the construction of fun and engaging projects such as a Fishing Rod, Hammer, Trundle Wheel, Letter Balance, Click-Clock, Windmill, Land Yacht, Flywheeler, Power Car, Dragster, and a Dogbot.

    Adobe Create Cloud: Video Production for Content Creators

    Level: Ages 11-18
